With an important election coming this November, what better time than this
to explore Catholic Social Teaching and to hear where the major candidates
stand on issues of Life, War, Economy and Immigration?
St. Clare Church in SW Portland is hosting a conference series of 4 events:
two evening presentations by theologians covering current Catholic teaching,
each followed one month later by a question and discussion session with
representatives invited from the campaigns of Presidential candidates Obama
and McCain and Senate candidates Merkley and Smith.
There is no charge for the Conference, though we may “pass the basket...”
